Michel Toutant was appointed Vice President, Operations, Customer Service, Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), in October 2015. As part of his role, he will guide and manage the P&WC global maintenance network. Furthermore, he will be responsible for all P&WC plants that belong to the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) network. In addition, he will manage business strategy by driving the implementation of innovative MRO solutions while ensuring that, in accordance with the principles of operational excellence, services are provided that exceed customer expectations. Finally, he will be responsible for new made-to-measure maintenance business solutions, such as those in the P&WCSMART offerings. He will guide the organization to ensure that it offers competitive, value-added services as well as a seamless customer experience, so that our customers will consider our MRO services to be the best in their class.
Mr. Toutant joins P&WC with more than 20 years experience in the aerospace, energy and marine industries. He held various positions of increasing responsibility at ABB and Rolls-Royce, where, until recently, he was president and chief operating officer of the Marine division, based in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Toutant studied mechanical engineering at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He continued his studies at the Université Laval, where he received a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). In 2009, he received the Prix Pythagore from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières for excellence in the fields of science and engineering. In 2011, he also received the Prix Hermès from the Faculty of Business Administration (FSA) at the Université Laval.
