Media Advisory: Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney Canada Open State-Of-The-Art Aero Cold Weather Testing and Research Facility in Northern Canada

THOMPSON, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2010) - The Global Aerospace Centre for Icing and Environmental Research (GLACIER) Inc., a joint venture company between Pratt & Whitney Canada and Rolls-Royce Canada, will be inaugurating its new state-of-the art cold weather testing and research facility on Friday October 29th in Thompson, Manitoba.

Senior Executives from Rolls-Royce Canada and Pratt & Whitney Canada will be joined by the Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification for the Government of Canada, the Honourable Peter Bjornson, Minister of Entrepreneurship, Training and Trade for the Government of Manitoba, as well as other project partners for a news conference followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility.
