Pratt & Whitney Canada Executive Honored by YWCA

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--The YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers inducted
today a Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) executive, Dr. Marie-Helene
Favreau.

The Academy, based in New York, recognizes women from around the
world for their outstanding accomplishments in the business
world. The award honors the contributions that Dr. Favreau has
made to P&WC and to the aerospace industry.

Dr. Favreau is recognized for her outstanding leadership in
activities related to both her medical profession and initiatives
such as the Center of Excellence for Our People, which has the
mission to apply rigour and structure to the Employee Survey
follow-thru process. The Center of Excellence also develops the
overall company action plan including initiatives that affect all
employees; share best practices with the Pratt & Whitney U.S.
Center of Excellence; and bring together representatives from
Human Resources, Communications and the Work+Life Committee on
the same platform. Dr. Favreau was also directly involved in
planning and coordinating protective measures for employees and
their families during the recent SARS outbreak. Her leadership in
setting up various temporary arrangements for those requesting to
be flown out of Asia to safer environments was such that other
Canadian multinational corporations were inspired to follow in
her footsteps.

that her accomplishments are being recognized in this highly
