Pratt & Whitney Canada Selects Altair Avionics as
WebECTM(R) DAC

ORLANDO, FLORIDA--(NBAA 2003) Altair Avionics Corporation has
been selected as P&WC's first Designated Analysis Center (DAC)
utilizing webECTM(R). Integration of P&WC's enhanced version of
ECTM(R) (Engine Condition Trend Monitoring) software with Altair
Avionics' Internet-based TurbineTracker(TM) data management
system was completed earlier this year. This lays the electronic
foundation for a seamless aircraft and engine data acquisition,
download, warehousing and analysis system.

As a DAC, Altair Avionics has developed the capability to accept
data from electronic files or manual data entry, allowing
customers to begin capitalizing on the benefits of
TurbineTracker(TM) and webECTM(R) immediately. Customers already
subscribing to TurbineTracker(TM) will also be able to add
automatic webECTM(R), DAC analysis and alerts to their service on
a subscription basis. This additional functionality will enable
customers to utilize the applicable elements of the integrated
system whether they have an Altair Avionics monitoring system, a
competitor's system, or no electronic monitoring system at all.

Altair Avionics provides data acquisition systems such as
TrendCheck+, Aircraft Data Acquisition System (ADAS+),
IntelliStart+ and SmartCycle+ to the fixed wing and helicopter
markets. Additionally, it has deployed a Windows(-based Monitor
Link Program to deplane the acquired data, and TurbineTracker(TM)
to manage the data.

Altair Avionics Corporation is headquartered in Norwood,
Massachusetts and provides Internet-based data management
services as well as design, manufacture, marketing and support of
aircraft and engine electronic monitoring systems for the
aviation industry aimed at "Reducing the Cost of Safe Flight."

P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business, general aviation and regional
aircraft, and helicopters. The company also offers advanced
engines for industrial applications. P&WC's operations and
service network span the globe. P&WC is a subsidiary of United
Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), a high-technology company
based in Hartford, Connecticut.
