Pratt & Whitney Canada Facility Joins Elite Group of VPP
Star Certified Companies
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS--The Aerospace Component Services (ACS)
group of Pratt & Whitney Canada's (P&WC) Service Centre Network,
announced today that it's Component Repair facility in Wichita
Falls, TX was awarded the Star Certification for OSHA's Voluntary
Protection Program (VPP).
This certification was recognized in a "Flag" Ceremony held at
the facility with representatives from OSHA, the local community,
and P&WC customers. This accomplishment was the result of a 15
month effort to establish an effective employee Health and Safety
system and procedures that meet OSHA's stringent VPP criteria. "I
am particularly proud that the Wichita Falls facility is joining
a small group of elite companies in obtaining this VPP Star
certification. VPP is all about employee safety and involving
employees, stated Mr. Claude Lachapelle, Director of ACS. This
certification is in recognition of an outstanding effort by all
the employees in Wichita Falls."
The ACS group focuses on the overhaul and repair of accessories,
the repair of components, and the sale of used serviceable parts
in addition to exchange transactions.
P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business, general aviation and regional aircraft
and helicopters. The company also offers advanced engines for
industrial applications. P&WC's operations and service network
