Pratt & Whitney Canada Names Pointe-Claire's Leesta Industries 'Best Supplier'

Pratt & Whitney Canada Names Pointe-Claire's Leesta
Industries 'Best Supplier'

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) recently
presented Leesta Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of aircraft
engine parts based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, with a "Best
Supplier" Award in recognition of the company's consistent high
quality and on-time delivery of its products.

The award was presented to Ernest Staub, Vice President of the
family-owned company, during P&WC's 2002 Supplier Conference held
in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec and attended by 150 leading aerospace
suppliers from around the world, some travelling to Quebec from
as far way as China and Japan.

"Leesta Industries is a long-term supplier to Pratt & Whitney
Canada which has demonstrated outstanding leadership in
surpassing the challenges presented to them," said Danny Di
Perna, Vice President, Procurement and Logistics, P&WC. "They
have shown particular flexibility and openness to our continuous
improvement initiatives aimed at working closely with our supply
chain to reduce lead times, reduce costs and optimize quality."

Mr. Di Perna continued by stating: "In the current economic
downturn that the entire industry is facing, it is even more
important to rely on suppliers of this calibre whose actions and
business culture aligns so well to ours."

Leesta Industries, a family-owned company with about 80
employees, manufactures a wide variety of aircraft components and
precision machine parts for aircraft engines. P&WC is one of its
largest customers, procuring up to several hundred components for
engines, and the two companies have been doing business together
for about 25 years.

"It is a great honour to be selected by P&WC as the No. 1
supplier amongst its many commodity groups," commented Mr. Staub,
whose father founded Leesta in 1964. "In today's business
environment, we recognize the importance of working closely with
our customers and providing them with all the support they need
to be successful. Fortunately, I have a terrific team of people
helping me."

This award recipient was selected amongst some 300 companies
from around the world who were considered for the P&WC Supplier
Awards.

P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business and regional aircraft and helicopters.
The company also offers advanced engines for industrial
applications. P&WC's operations and service network span the
