Pratt & Whitney Canada Continues to Reinforce its
Leadership Position in the European Light-Twin
Helicopter Market

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) has
reinforced its leadership position with a number of recent
successes in the European light-twin helicopter market, further
underscoring the popularity of its engines and maintenance plans
in the region's emergency medical services (EMS) sector.

In Norway, Norskluftambulanse, one of the country's largest EMS
helicopter operators, has ordered four Eurocopter EC135
helicopters powered by PW206B2 engines for its fleet, which
already includes a P&WC-powered Eurocopter EC135. The company has
also enrolled all the engines in P&WC's Fleet Management Plan
(FMP(TM)), designed to provide fleet operators with peace of mind
and guaranteed cost when it comes to engine maintenance. "P&WC's
reputation for engine reliability, low maintenance cost and its
strong field support network in Norway were decisive factors in
our selection," said Tore TALSETH General Manager,
Norskluftambulanse.

"This latest order in Norway reaffirms the growing success of the
PW200 engine family, an advanced-technology engine with a solid
reputation for reliability," commented Keyvan Fard, Vice
President - Regional Airline and Turboshaft Engines, P&WC. "This
year, the PW200 engine again powered approximately 70% of new
deliveries in the light-twin market."

In Spain, Helicopteros del Sureste, one of the nation's largest
helicopter operators specializing in EMS, fire fighting and
passenger transport, is taking delivery of a second
PW206C-powered A109E helicopter for use in EMS. "The decision to
select P&WC was relatively easy for us," said Aurelio Martinez,
Technical Director. "Our first P&WC-powered helicopter has
accumulated close to 1,000 hours of operation and we have been
delighted by its reliability, low cost of maintenance and the
outstanding P&WC support network in Spain."

In the Czech Republic, Alfa Helicopter, a company specialized in
EMS, recently took delivery of its first PW207D-powered Bell 427
helicopter specially configured for EMS operation. The PW200
engines, the first operated in the country, will be enrolled in
P&WC's Eagle Service Plan (ESP(R)). "This will take the guesswork
out of the cost of future heavy maintenance for our engines while
improving the resale value of the aircraft," said Dr. Muller,
Alfa Helicopter's owner. P&WC engines played a vital role in
relief efforts last summer following devastating floods in the
Czech Republic, when five Bell 412 helicopters powered by PT6T
engines participated in search and rescue missions.

Finally, Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht E.V. (DRF), Germany's largest
EMS operator, has signed a Fleet Management Plan agreement with
P&WC covering its existing and future entire fleet of
PW200-powered aircraft. As many as 15 aircraft will be protected
by the plan, including Eurocopter EC135, MD Explorer and Agusta
A109E helicopters. "This FMP will support our expansion plans
while allowing us to forecast future maintenance costs for our
aircraft," said Dr. Jochen Schmidt, General Manager, DRF. "This
agreement will also further reinforce the excellent relationship
that we have developed with P&WC in recent years. This agreement
will be extended to all our fleet powered by P&WC included the
Bell 412 helicopters and fixed wing aircraft"

P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business and regional aircraft and helicopters.
The company also offers advanced engines for industrial
applications. P&WC's operations and service network span the
globe. P&WC is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation
(NYSE: UTX), a high-technology company based in Hartford,
Connecticut.
