Pratt & Whitney Canada's Aerospace Component Services
Group Signs Major Agreement with Atlantic Turbines
International
ST. HUBERT, QUEBEC--Pratt & Whitney Canada's (P&WC) Aerospace
Component Services (ACS) group, has signed a 5-year agreement
with Atlantic Turbines International Inc. (ATI) valued in excess
of US $25 million over the life of the contract. The agreement
provides customized component repair support to ATI's Prince
Edward Island (PEI) facility via a rotable exchange inventory
covering all P&WC's engines being maintained at ATI's PEI
facility.
"This agreement represents a significant step in the growth of
P&WC's Aerospace Component Services group" stated Claude
Lachapelle, P&WC's Director of Aerospace Component Services. "We
are pleased with the confidence ATI has demonstrated in P&WC. We
listened to what ATI was looking for and through a strong
commitment from both parties were able to develop a series of
customer focused services."
ATI's President, John MacDougall stated: "I am pleased to expand
our working relationship with the P&WC, ACS group. This new
agreement allows us to better serve our expanding customer base
and reduce our ongoing investment in inventory. It's a win for
both companies."
P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business and regional aircraft and helicopters.
The company also offers advanced engines for industrial
applications. P&WC's operations and service network span the
globe. P&WC is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation
(NYSE:UTX), a high-technology company based in Hartford,
Connecticut.
