Pratt & Whitney Canada Benefit Christmas Concerts Draw
1,800 People

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) is donating
an exceptional 180 boxes of food for the needy following two
sold-out Christmas benefit concerts held in the Pratt & Whitney
Canada Hall at the Theatre de la Ville, Longueuil, on Sunday,
December 9.

The concerts drew a total of 1,800 people and featured
performances by the Pratt & Whitney Canada Choir, the Harmonie de
Longueuil Choir, the Dimension Arts dance ensemble and the
Laval-Laurentides Youth Symphony Orchestra. In addition to
traditional Christmas music, they also featured a Christmas story,
The Magic Sleigh, performed by Dimension Arts and created
specially for the event by the ensemble's director, Diane Piche.

Members of the audience were invited to bring non-perishable food
items to the events. The 180 boxes of food collected at the
concerts and during other P&WC Christmas activities are being
given to "Operation Christmas," a group of parishes and agencies
in Longueuil, and will help more than 600 families on Montreal's
South Shore this Christmas.

The Harmonie de Longueuil Choir, conducted by Blandine Boudreau
Boilard, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and is
currently composed of 70 singers. The Dimension Arts dance
ensemble is composed of 30 dancers of all ages. The
Laval-Laurentides Youth Symphony Orchestra features some 55
musicians between the ages of 10 to 20, and is conducted by Andre
Gauthier.

The Pratt & Whitney Canada Choir was officially formed in 1991 and
is composed of 60 singers, including current employees and
retirees of P&WC, as well as their spouses and friends. The choir
is directed by Michel Masse, a composer who has written a number
of pieces for piano and orchestra.

P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
