Pratt & Whitney Canada Appoints Taxi Aero Marilia S/A as
a Recognized Maintenance Facility in Brazil

NEW-ORLEANS, USA--NBAA 2001, Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC)
has appointed Taxi Aero Marilia S/A (TAM) of Sao Paulo, Brazil as
a Recognized Maintenance Facility for its PT6 and JT15D engine
models.

TAM offers engine support services to operators of P&WC-powered
aircraft in Brazil with the advantage of a one-stop-shop support
for both aircraft and engines at TAM facilities.

"The appointment of TAM as a P&WC Recognized Maintenance Facility
(RMF) represents a major milestone in cooperation between our

organization like TAM and to have them as part of our P&WC RMF
network," said Denis Parisien, Vice President, Service Centres,
Operations. "Operators of P&WC-powered aircraft in Brazil will
now benefit from the full resources of the engine manufacturer and
TAM's outstanding reputation for high-quality aircraft and engine
maintenance services."

In its capacity as an RMF, TAM's qualified technical staff will
carry out line and light maintenance on PT6A and JT15D engines.
TAM will also offer its customers fly-in service, engine removal
and installation, and on-wing troubleshooting and repairs. This
will complement the P&WC do Brasil Regional Service Centre in
Sorocaba, Brazil which offers hot section inspections, heavy
maintenance, borescope inspections and mobile repair teams, along
with a full Parts Distribution Centre.

spare parts available at P&WC's Sorocaba Regional Service Centre,
will ensure responsive support and fast turnaround times," said

Brazilian operators."
