Pratt & Whitney Executives Honored by YWCA
EAST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT--The YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers
will induct two Pratt & Whitney executives, Maria Della Posta and
Lynn Gambill, on November 14.
The Academy, based in New York, recognizes women from around the
world for their outstanding accomplishments in the business world.
The award honors the contributions that Della Posta and Gambill
have made to Pratt & Whitney and to the advancement of the
aerospace industry.
As vice president, Customer Support at Pratt & Whitney Canada,
Della Posta is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of
excellence in supporting some 50,000 Pratt & Whitney Canada
engines in service around the world. During her 16-year career at
Pratt & Whitney Canada, she has held a variety of leadership
positions in Field Operations, Procurement and Finance as well as
Customer Support.
Lynn Gambill, director, Systems Design Integration for the F119
engine program, has provided strong leadership and technical
skills in the development of the power plant for the new U.S. Air
Force F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft. Gambill has served in Pratt's
engineering organization for more than 20 years.
