P&WC CSC Europe GmbH Appoints National Airways
Corporation as a Recognised Maintenance Facility in South
Africa

SOUTHAMPTON, UK--Pratt & Whitney Canada Customer Support Centre
Europe GmbH (P&WC CSC Europe GmbH) has appointed National Airways
Corporation (NAC) of Johannesburg, South Africa, as a Recognised
Maintenance Facility (RMF) for its PT6A, PT6T and JT15D engine
models.

With this designation, NAC is authorised to offer engine support
services to operators of Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) powered
aircraft in Africa with the advantage of a one-stop shop support
for both aircraft and engines at NAC facilities. It also
demonstrates that the engine services provided by NAC adhere to
P&WC's highest quality standards, ensuring a high level of
reliability and durability in engine operation and optimised asset
value.

"The appointment of NAC as a P&WC CSC Europe GmbH Recognised
Maintenance Facility (RMF) represents a major milestone in
co-operation between our companies," said Fritz Gothsche, General
Manager of P&WC CSC Europe GmbH. "Operators of P&WC powered
aircraft in Africa will now benefit from the full resources of the
engine manufacturer and NAC's outstanding reputation for high
quality aircraft and engine maintenance services."

NAC's qualified technical staff will carry out line and light
maintenance, Hot Section Inspections (HSI), and minor repairs on
PT6A/T and JT15D engines. NAC will also offer its customers
fly-in service, engine removal and installation, and on-wing
trouble shooting and repairs.

"Close co-operation with P&WC CSC Europe GmbH, combined with a
full range of engine spare parts available at NAC's and P&WC CSC
Europe GmbH's Lanseria facilities, will ensure responsive support
service and fast turnaround times," said Mr. Gothsche.

P&WC, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a world leader in aviation
engines powering business and regional aircraft and helicopters.
The company also offers advanced engines for industrial
applications. P&WC's operations and service network span the
globe. In 1999, sales were in excess of Cdn$2 billion. P&WC is a
