Pratt & Whitney Wins Subcontract Award from DynCorp
Technical Services
BRIDGEPORT, WEST VIRGINIA--Pratt & Whitney Engine Services, Inc.
(P&WES), announced today that it has been selected by DynCorp
Technical Services, Inc. as the primary subcontractor for engine
overhaul and repair of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile
Command's 191 fixed-wing C-12, RC-12 and UC-35 aircraft.
DynCorp Technical Services, located in Ft. Worth, Texas, was
awarded the first increment of the U.S. Army Life Cycle Contractor
Support (LCCS) contract on August 4, 2000. The subcontract is
expected to generate revenues of approximately $200 million US for
P&WES during the base period and all options exercised over 9.3
years. The award covers the U.S. Army's engine overhaul and
repair requirements for the PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-65B, PT6A-67,
PT6A-67D and JT15D-5D engine models.
Support efforts will be led by the P&WES overhaul shop in
Bridgeport, West Virginia and seven strategically located Regional
Service Centers across the United States, including three fly-in
centers.
P&WES is part of the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Service Center
Network which is comprised of 17 shops located on five continents
serving the entire fleet of P&WC engines on a global basis. P&WC
is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, a
high-technology-company based in Hartford, Connecticut.
