Pratt & Whitney Canada Celebrates Water Bomber Delivery
with Italy's Civil Protection Agency

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) recently
celebrated the delivery of the 13th PW123AF-powered Canadair CL415
water bomber to The Civil Protection Agency of Italy's Ministry of
Interior. The Agency is now only two aircraft away from becoming
the world's largest operator of the amphibious firefighter.

Fritz Gothsche, General Manager of P&WC CSC Europe GmbH, a P&WC
European Service Centre affiliate, attended the delivery ceremony
at Rome's Ciampino Airport. The P&WC European Service Centre is
responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of more than 30
PW123AF engines through S.A.N. s.r.l., an affiliate of SOREM, the
company which operates the amphibious aircraft.

P&WC's European Service Centre also works with S.A.N., which is a
P&WC Recognized Maintenance Facility (RMF), for the PT6A and JT15D
series of engines.

The maintenance and overhaul work for the PW123AF engines will be
performed at the new P&WC CSC Europe GmbH Service Centre located
at the Southampton International Airport. These engines have
accumulated approximately 500 hours/year per engine under
demanding conditions. Engine maintenance performed at the
Southampton facility offers fast turnaround times with precision
quality to provide high dispatch and excellent reliability.
