Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) favours institutions that encourage scientific learning as well as college and university level learning establishments in aeronautics fields.
Our education partners include:
British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
P&WC provides support to students by participating in the development of the Aerospace Technology Campus of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). As a partner of BCIT, P&WC has donated two aircraft engines to the establishment, as well as educational materials. P&WC also offers scholarships and prizes to students who stand out within the aerospace programs. BCIT is one of the largest higher education institutions in British Columbia and is recognized for its practical and applied teaching of sciences and technology.

P&WC has been proudly promoting science learning among young people for more then 15 years by sponsoring Discovery Centre science camps. Discovery Centre is a non-profit organization located in Halifax in Nova Scotia. Its mission is to make science and technology more accessible and enjoyable for both children and adults. Winter and summer camps, exhibitions, experimental workshops and interactive educational programs allow people from all over the province to enrich their scientific knowledge and have fun at the same time.

Collège Édouard-Montpetit Foundation
P&WC understands the importance of preparing students for the labour market. That is why it contributes to the Collège Édouard-Montpetit Foundation (FDCEM). The donations from P&WC allow the Collège Édouard-Montpetit and the École nationale d'aérotechnique (ÉNA) [National Institute of Aeronautics] to provide staff and students with advanced technological equipment, to introduce multimedia classes and extracurricular projects and to award scholarships. The role of the FDCEM is to ensure the development of the activities of the Collège Édouard-Montpetit, one of the largest CEGEPs in Quebec, and of the ÉNA, a leader in aerospace technical training in Quebec.

École des métiers de l’aérospatiale de Montréal (ÉMAM)
P&WC is proud to contribute to the development and training of industry’s next generation by supporting the École des métiers de l’aérospatiale de Montréal (ÉMAM). As a partner, P&WC provides advanced technological material for the training workshops and participates actively in various programs. ÉMAM is a school-factory whose modern equipment and facilities allow students to learn their trade as though they were actually on the job. Working closely with the aerospace industry, ÉMAM has developed programs that take into account market realities and industry demands.
