Every year, Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) employees and retirees actively participate in the Centraide/United Way campaign.
Centraide/United Way
At P&WC, current and retired employees have the well-being of their community at heart. One of their most worthwhile programs is the annual fundraising campaign for Centraide of Greater Montreal, which supports more than 360 charity organizations in the Montreal region.
Since 2005, employees from the P&WC facilities in Quebec have donated more than one million dollars a year to Centraide of Greater Montreal. P&WC has also won several "Solidaire" awards for its annual campaigns, evidence of the leadership and social commitment of its employees toward the organization. In 2008 it received two "Solidaire" awards in the "1000 plus employees" and "Trade Union Support" categories. Each year, members of the organizing committee plan several fundraising activities—variety shows, spaghetti lunch and raffles—in which very large numbers of employees always take part.
P&WC employees from other Canadian facilities also support United Way and help to improve people's quality of life throughout Canada.

Other Contributions
Many P&WC employees are devoted to causes that are important to them.
Many of our employees are also active in the community, taking part in fundraising activities for, amongst others, the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Starlight Children's Foundation Canada, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation and the Moonlight Run. P&WC encourages this because we know how important these organizations are to them. P&WC is proud to support its employees in their volunteer work.
