Alain Rondeau was named Vice President, Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Pratt & Whitney Canada, in 1997.
Before joining P&WC, Mr. Rondeau practiced corporate and commercial law with the firm of Byers Casgrain (now Dentons Canada LLP), where he was a Partner and Head of the Information and Technology Law Group. He was recognized by Lexpert as being one of the leading practitioners in his field in Quebec. He has given numerous lectures and was the Co-chair of the 2010 Corporate Counsel World Summit (CCCA).
Mr. Rondeau earned a civil law degree (LL.L.) in 1981 and a common law degree (LL.B.) in 1982, both from the University of Ottawa. He also obtained a Certificate in Finance from Queen’s School of Business in 1999 and completed the Senior Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration in 2001.
In 2010, Mr. Rondeau was recognized by his peers with the Quebec Legal Counsel Awards Achievement Award – Business Strategy.
He is a member of the Quebec Bar and of the Canadian, American and International Bar Associations.
